MAPIM @ DBP

Malaysia Scholarly Publishing Council (MAPIM) is an active body in the development of scholarly and scientific publications. Its members are from public institutions of higher learning (IPTA), research centers in Malaysia and the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP). The council was established in 11 July 1996 pursuant to the Technical Committee Meeting DBP-IPT (5/96) at the DBP Sarawak branch. MAPIM was officially established on 22 May 1997 by its Guide's Committee Meeting. The Director of the Department of Higher Learning, as the Chairman of the Malaysian Scholarly Publishing Council (MAPIM) Meeting, appoints all MAPIM's member. Presently, there are 27 members in MAPIM which comprises DBP, IPTA's presses, research centers and government agencies.


Among MAPIM Committee during last meeting held at Sanggar Za'aba, DBP Kuala Lumpur on 21/05/2009. I was there as a spokeperson for BukuMalaysia.com. A 15 minutes presentation and Q&A to the committee about BukuMalaysia.com.
