PEARL of Orient

I was in Penang last week. Free and easy holiday, i took this oppoturnity to visit a friend and some relatives around. It was hot, high and dry during my 3 days on the island. Nothing much can do on so sunny day. Sun bath?!! Totally not recommended.

Komplek Tun Abdul Razak aka KOMTAR was the highest building in ASIA. Located in the middle of town area, it placed goverment agencies and departments, private sectors as well and commercial premises. During the construction time, the tower was caught on fire. The fire start from the middle of the tower and climb up few levels to the top. It looks like a gigantic torch and the flame have light up the whole Tanjung. If you have photographed the moment, would you share it with all. I believe, the disaster was magnificent and significant.

At the back is Penang Hill, the highest point of Pearl Island. To the peak, you could take a trekking trail for around an hour to climb up. But if you don't have time, energy and gut, please take a cable car.
